Yes.

No, but the results will be mono...;-)
I sometimes connect two mono mics to the stereo mini-plug.
The easiest way to do this is to get a Radio Shack dual
mono to stereo adapter (compact triangular gizmo). If the
mics are different in gain, you cannot adjust the channel
balance with the VX-2000 - do it in post (you can do it
with the PD150, though, BTW...). I find a pad useful with
most mini-plug mics to keep the signal low enough to work
well with the AGC (otherwise, use manual gain control).

No way I know of - inserting a mini-plug disables the
built-in mic. Record to DAT or MiniDisk and mix in post
(or use a second camcorder...).
