I would add the JVC 500 and the Panasonic 200,
though I prefer to limit the comparisons to
"handycam"-style Mini-DV camcorders, my preference
for the ways I prefer to work. The first two (or
three, if you include the VX2000 review that
includes others for comparison) comparison articles
happened because I was interested in knowing the
results, and I happened at the time to have easy
access to the variety of camcorders included in
each. Future comparisons will depend on having
available the camcorders of interest, which
includes those you and I mentioned above, plus
the Panasonic 300/350, Sony TRV950, and Canon XL-1s
(along with some older camcorders, for comparison
and continuity...). Since I'm satisfied with the
VX2000, and currently do not have access to the
other camcorders of interest, the article you
propose may never happen (though I said the same
about 1-chippers, and then did get interested in
them [an interest that has since mostly waned, as
a result of what I found in the comparisons...;-]).
