One can wait forever for the newest model, but
in my experience, "newer" does not necessarily
mean "better"... The TRV-900 is currently one
of a VERY small number of top-class Mini-DV
camcorders, so, where will the replacement be?
Maybe with more plastic on the body, with a
Memory Stick slot instead of having Compact
Flash capability, on-the-fly A->D, or...?
Maybe image and sound quality will be better,
but maybe not... (those basics are pretty good
now).

From a reputable, trouble-free dealer, I recommend,
whose price, when all is settled with shipping
and accessories, may be lower than that of the
"cheap" dealer...
