I shot some footage for a local cable news station
with a VX-1000, and submitted a VHS tape, as requested.
On air, it looked TERRIBLE, so I asked. They had taken
the VHS and copied it to another VHS along with their
originals to organize the segments for broadcast, then
for the delayed broadcasts, had copied it yet again to
VHS (with the "live" parts added)...! YUCK!!! ;-)
For the public-access side of the same station I
submitted another tape (again, a VHS copy of DV
material, as requested...), and it was broadcast
from that copy - and it looked surprisingly good.
As we all know, a VHS copy of DV original can look
OK, but a VHS copy of a VHS copy of a VHS copy of
a DV original hasn't a chance...!;-)
