This is the one (relatively) common problem with this otherwise excellent
and dependable camera - and requires repair. BTW, when it happens, the
camera sounds like it is taking a longer exposure than it is set for...
I suspect a cause is using a non-Nikon flash on the camera, but I am not
sure of that...
