With the VX-1000, I've never found a
problem with losing timecode continuity when
starting/stopping/turning-off-camera/removing-replacing
tape - only when manually backwinding to check previous
footage... If one is aware of the counter (with DV), it
is an easy matter to return to the last recorded frame
before going on (I hate to see all the needless head
wear "blacking" causes...).
