Maybe not what you want, but one NPF960 recharged
overnight should easily carry you through the next
day (and the battery that came with the TRV900 can
be used as the backup). If you have access to AC
overnight, you should not need any other charger.
The TRV900 will reject as "not infolithium" any
gizmo supplying through the camcorder battery
contacts, alas... If the DC input is used, the
voltage supplied is normally nominally 8.4V - I
don't know what happens if 7.2V (or less) is
supplied to this connector. It sounds to me like
you have the NiCads, so want to use them for this
reason - but the additional NPF960 may still be the
better solution...
