I agree with MF on the couple of Nikkors he
mentions, but not on the Tokinas - both the
28-70 and 28-80 f2.8s I've tried were soft
wider than f5.6, making them not good buys
for the money - several slower lenses are
as good by f5.6 and less expensive...
