No, this is a digital medium - recording is either
successful, or not, but it does not vary in quality
with different tape, except for possibly in dropout
rate and durability with use and time...
But, DO NOT mix tape brands until it is well-established
that this is now OK to do - in the past, mixing some tape
brands has resulted in bad head clogging (due to lubricant
incompatibilities, I've heard...).
