Assuming no variation in dropout rate, ALL Mini-DV/DVCam
tapes will have identical picture and sound recordings.
The issues are dropout rate, storage longevity, and number
of playings before problems. Also DO NOT MIX TAPE BRANDS -
lubricants can be incompatible, resulting in head clogs or
worse. A good, cheap sources for tapes are
www.taperesources.com and www.thetapeguys.com (their site
is a mess, but useable...;-). I would select either Sony
or Panasonic, and stay with it.
