If this is straight playback of recorded tape, I don't have an
answer (see John Beale's post, above...); if this is
playback of tape that has been edited using an Adaptec-based
FireWire card (Adaptec, DPS, and Miro/Pinnacle), this is
a common occurance (though usually the camcorder electronics
hide the beeps on playback...). If the latter is the case,
there is "beep-fix" software available - I can send more
info, if needed...
