Just a comment: the NPF-960 batteries that fit the VX-2000
will last many hours - two should last more than eight
hours. Perhaps with two additional in reserve (these are
about $120 each), and if you are not in the field every
day, you would need no "location" charger or DC power source
other than batteries. For charging outside the camera body,
I use TRV-9 chargers - but any supplied by Sony to charge
NPF batteries should serve... Two of these would fully
charge two NPF-960 batteries overnight. Perhaps Sony offers
a dual-battery NPF charger? Look at:
