Sometimes removing all filters helps with this - otherwise
(besides careful lens shading), there is little you can do.
Lenses, optical stabilizers, etc. vary in their flare and
reflection characteristics - changing gear, or shooting
earlier in the day (with less relative difference in the
intensity of the light sources and the surrounding areas,
which can be darkened by reducing exposure to get a
"night" look) is about all you can do...
