Connect a cord from the RCA outputs of the DAT machine (or any
other audio-device output) to the stereo
mini-jack "line in" of the sound card, open a WAV editor (I forget
what is installed on your machine, but Cool Edit and Sound Forge are
good, and Sound Blaster is OK), hit "record" in the software (after
selecting parameters [48KHz 16-bit stereo]), and then "play" on the
DAT machine... If there is clipping of the recorded wave, reduce the
output level on the DAT machine, or install a pad in the connecting
cord (I use a 6db pad, since the input on my sound card is easily
overloaded).
