Nuts, isn't it??? (The audio world...;-) There are a few
unsupported mythologies in the photo world, but very few,
and relatively minor (using small "diffusers" for flash,
UV filters for haze-rediction; UV filters spoiling a lens'
optics; a light yellow filter for B&W "correct" tonal
rendition - that just about about covers them [and some of
those even had some validity in the past, before improvements
in materials and hardware...;-]) - NOTHING like what is
in audio (the bricks on amplifiers improving stereo image;
polka-dots on walls improving the sound; mega-buck cables
improving just about anything; green-markers on CD edges
and weights on the disks, ETC., ETC., ETC.!!!)!!!
People can be funny in what they will believe without
much questioning - but this is scarey, too...
