At 13-gigs/per-tiny-tape, the tape itself is THE most
efficient way to archive what is on it without noticeably
degrading quality - and these are now fairly cheap at
about $5.50 (US) per hour of high-quality video storage...
I don't understand the question...! ;-) Does NO ONE
remember VHS/BETA??? ;-) Or even Hi-8, with its "giant"
cassettes??? ;-) Methinks we are getting a tad silly
with worrying about Mini-DV tape storage problems - hundreds
of hours of high-quality recorded video can now be stored
in a fairly small box or on a compact shelf using Mini-DV
tapes...
