The small Sony camcorders use a 4-connector version of a
mini-plug connecting cord (supplied) that has RCAs at the
other end for composite video and left and right audio.
Connect these to the VCR (and select analogue input in
a menu, I think, on the camcorder) to get either record
to DV tape or pass-through to the computer...
