I've tried monopods, tripods (best, but rather
immobile...;-), shoulder pods, side-handles,
side bars, and shoulder bars. Best: side handle
(as in, "L"-shaped flash bracket) for short to
medium FLs, side bar for long FLs (bar attaches
to tripod mount, goes straight out left side,
rests on top of left arm, with left hand holding
"blob" just behind lens - this bar can be the
bottom part of a long-base side handle, giving
you both in one piece).
