Since you have the 60mm (a really sharp macro...),
adding a good 2X (Nikkor TC200/201 or Vivitar
Macro 2X) makes sense, if you can stop down to
f8 or so, and can stand the f16 or so effective
stop (even slower at close focus...). The result
is quite sharp, and gives you the longer FL.
BTW, using a TTL flash on a TTL remote cord,
with the head mounted at the lens front end
makes "hand holding" so much easier... (You
