"Zorkendorfer Mult-Focus System from Ken Hansen
The unique and versatile Zorkendorfer Mult-Focus System is now being
distributed in the US by Ken HansenPhotographic, Incorporated, in New
York. This system consists of a number of lens mounting adapters and
tilttubes that permit a photographer to (1) use medium format lenses on
35mm camera bodies and/or (2) movethose lenses up to 30 degrees from the
camera much like the swing/tilt movement of a view camera. The
widecoverage area of the medium format lens avoids potential vignetting
caused by moving the lens off its axis. Thus, the photographer can
maximize sharpness for subjects set at an angle to the camera without
having toresort to stopping down to increase depth of field.
Essentially, the Zorkendorfer Mult-Focus System givesusers of 35mm SLRs
access to the Scheimpflug Principle so important to view cameras.
The heart of the system is a set of ball jointed tubes in 32mm, 50mm,
and 100mm lengths for various applications from distant focus to
close-up situations. Zork Mount Adapters which are used in the
Zorkendorfer Mult-Focus System are available for matching a wide range
of medium format lenses to "virtually all" currently available 35mm SLR
cameras. There is also a line of Zork adapters that will permit the use
of Pentacon Sixlenses to medium format cameras. For example, Pentacon
Six 50mm, 80mm, 120mm, 180mm, and 300mm focal lengths used on Mamiya 645
camera bodies."
