I have not used this lens, but it would appear likely to
solve the MF problems of the standard lens (but without
the stabilizer and AF), if not those of the stock
viewfinder. In the end, though, the image is made by a
combination of the lens and imager and influenced by
the control capability, so my expectations would be that
for the money spent on the XL-1s body, B&W finder, and
manual lens, better imaging performance could be had
elsewhere for about the same total cost with JVC,
Panasonic, or Sony models (or for considerably less, with
the Sony PD150...).
