You are repeating a familiar pattern:
-newbie to the group jumps in on a discussion
of the VX2000/PD150 (or whatever) pointing out
how wonderful the XL-1/GL-1 is
-I (or others) point out the obvious deficiencies
of same relative to the VX2000/PD150/TRV900/JVC500
-newbie is offended, and starts to defend the
indefensible, using weak arguements
-I (or others) point this out, with solid
evidential support for what I (we) say
-when this fails to convince the newbie (the
power of belief over evidence is strong...;-),
newbie then starts throwing insults/
wishfull-thinking/whatever in posts, with
little more solid to offer in defense
of the point of view proferred - but always
with objections to my (or others) pointing out
the limitations of the Canon gear relative to
the Sony (or JVC, or whatever...), and claiming
that I (or others) must always be "right"
(heck, we *are* right...! ;-) and have the
last word (but it is the newbie who presses
the matter - I gave you the opportunity to
have the last word of substance above, but
ya muffed it...;-).
