You will find both (VX-2000 instead of PD150...) reviewed
(with frame-grabs and sound-quality/character comments)
on my web page - look under the "I babble" index. The short
of it: the Sony for picture quality, low-light ability,
auto/manual control of lens and picture, and run-time on
a single battery (and the Canon WD-58 .7X is really good
on the Sony); the Canon by a bit for sound versatility,
and if you must mount a wide-angle zoom or a long lens
adapted from the Canon still-line. Bottom line: not much of
a contest overall (unless the particular advantages of the
Canon outweigh its many disadvantages for you).
