With the CP controls, add red, cut sharpness...;-)
But it would be hard to simultaneously simulate the
XL-1 over-sharpening of contrasty edges too...;-)
BTW, I generally do add a touch of red on the VX-2000,
reduce the AE-bias a notch, but increase sharpness
a notch - I like a detailed and rich-looking picture
with decent rendering of landscapes and textures,
and trade that for the slight increase in picture
negative artifacts that result (which are still less
than those of the XL-1...;-). BTW, you ought to try
the PD-150 sound again - it really is good...! ;-)
