Depends on both the quality of the WA converter
and on the matching. Generally, one-chippers
are pretty marginal if you are looking for top
quality, and the losses associated with using
even the best-matched WA converters with these
may be unacceptable - but if the light is bright
(resulting in a stopped-down lens, with the
resultant better image quality) or the situation
doesn't push the limits of the gear (I used a
Raynox Pro .5X on a PC-1 for an unobtrusive
"up-front" camera in good light at a wedding
Sunday, and the results were good [and can
be cut together with the VX-2000s and TRV-900
that were also used]), then you may like using
a good WA converter on the PC-5...
