OK, if 48mm-equivalent x .6 = 29mm-equivalent, 2:1 zoom
range would then be 29mm x 2 = 58mm-equivalent...
The Canon WD-58 is large and heavy and only .7X - and
it is designed for 58mm-threaded lenses. It is unlikely
to be a nice match for a compact camera (at $180 or so,
too). Better would be the .6X Sony CVL-ES06, I would think,
for use on a compact camera.
