?????????????????
I'm not familiar with this particular WA converter, but I
have used MANY others (I have shelves full of them, being
a WA nut...;-). If you have zoomed fully "wide" (which is,
as you've noticed, not very wide...;-), the .7X should give
you *about* 5/4th the field size of the lens alone (yuh,
I know, but multiplying the FL by .7 does not give you a
proportionally wider field with wide-angles [trust me on
the geometry...;-], and if this is a non-zoom-through, it
may actually not be .7X on this lens at near infinity-focus,
depending on how the lens focuses...). I assume, also, that
you have focused the lens with the converter attached?
Otherwise, I dunno... If it is a non-zoom-through (one
which will not focus in the zoom tele position), try a
zoom-through type (easy to spot: the non-zoom-through
ones are flat, the zoom-through ones usually have
considerable length), but one of a good brand (Sony,
Raynox, Kenko) - others often "cheat" the specs,
sometimes rarger badly (I have a ".5X" Ambico that
is closer to .8X...;-).
