Try the Canon WD-58 .7X (full zoom-through,
top-quality, and only $180 or so...). I use
the Sony VCL-ES06 ($70) with 58->52mm step-down
ring for very good quality .5X (regardless
of its .6X rating...;-). All have considerable
barrel distortion, though - if this bothers you,
the Raynox HD6600-58 .66X ($95) has minimal
distortion, excellent sharpness to the corners
on the VX-2000 (similar to the WD-58), but it
cannot be zoomed quite the full range to long
with optimum performance. In my opinion, the
Century converters are overpriced relative to
the above...
