With properly-calibrated meters (i. e., ones that generally produce good
slide densities with a variety of brands/speeds of slide film and shooting
conditions), Velvia is normally 40, though I find that with some strong
colors predominating, different speed ratings may be appropriate with
this film. BTW, you probably meant "underexposure", though I think
this is bad practice, since it shifts the average closer to
disasterous exposure error, and brings the
average density to a less
standard level.
