No - not if NTSC, but possibly yes, if PAL, since the 25fps
frame rate of the video can be copied to the 24fps frame
rate of film, with minor speed error... (but you suffer
the slightly reduced picture resolution of the XL-1
compared with most other choices, and the additional
slight resolution loss you get when using the frame-mode
on Canon 3-CCD cameras). BTW, you appear to be confusing
"film look" for video with the optimization of the image
for "film transfer", a very different thing...
