Uhhhhhh.......;-)
Even if the ZR50 resolution were close to that of the
VX2000 (doubtful...;-), there is more to image quality
than resolution. See:

particularly the excellent one-chip TRV30 compared
with the VX2000 - there are differences in color-quality,
image smoothness, relative freedom from motion artifacts,
and low-light reach, which can influence image quality
(read the comments).

Not just the considerably larger size of the 1/3rd inch
chips (times 3, BTW...) is important, but also the chip
type - Sony uses a "HAD" type that appears to be more
sensitive, and to have better color than standard chip
types...
