No contest - the TRV900/PD100a is a nice camera, but
the VX2000 is better in most ways. If you use XLR-mics,
look at the PD150, a separate mic preamp (the 2000
has line-level input), or an XLR adapter. As for
Mini-DV vs. DVCam, they are essentially the same, but
the DVCAM record times are shorter by 1/3rd (the PD150
can use either).
