Yes - I'v owned several VX1000s, and a couple of VX2000s,
and while anyday I would take a 2000 over the 1000 for its
sharper image, better color, better low-light range, better
AF, the side-finder, LP-mode recording, longer battery
run-time, and better-centered CCDs, there are still things
about the 1000 I prefer (the stabilizer, the VF, the better
red-handling, the better matching with available .5X
zoom-through WA converters, and the easier use of external
mics) - and I was lucky to find a used 1000 in good shape
at a good price recently, so I now own one again...;-)
