I pointed this out about the VX-2000 in my review (look
in the "I babble" index on my web page for the camcorder
review article). With a couple of layers of air-conditioner
foam around the VX-2000 mic, I can shoot in a pretty good
breeze without problems - and I can make recordings in
the woods of wind-in-the-trees sounds, which I had been
unable to do before without special set-ups. Now I don't
worry about wind; before I wouldn't bother trying to shoot
in a wind at all... (I kinda like the VX-2000.;-)
