Yes, but don't bother - just hook up the three cables to the
appropriate picture and stereo sound inputs, preferably using
the "S" cable for picture... The decks cost more than most
cameras (a second camera is a better buy, for most purposes,
than a deck). You can also copy to VHS for easy passing
around of the video.

No. A good, sharp TV with an "S" input displays them nicely.
Depending on the Mini-DV camera, the above may be overkill
(or, possibly, a bit underkill with the best cameras...).

The viewing systems are different: TV is an interlaced
medium, computers are non-interlaced (and there are other
differences that make TV-viewing preferable...).

for a comparison of all the current Sony Mini-DV imaging
types, with frame-grabs (PC100 = PC110, TRV30 = PC120).
If you like the form and size of the PC110, but the picture
of the TRV30, the PC120 is about to come out (but at a price
not far from the better, but larger, TRV900...).
