You may want to consider a Hoya instead... (the rims are better
[thinner, better made], and the Tiffens seem to spontaneously
fog...). If you put any filter on a white sheet of paper,
you can see its color doubled - that color (weaker...) will be
added to all images, though with negative materials that will be
unimportant (assuming the color is weak, as with most UV and
skylight filters). Contrary to some opinion, using a good-quality
filter will have NO ill effect on image quality under most
circumstances...
