A. Arnerich explained it nicely in an earlier post, but to simplify:
Use a UV filter for lens protection (and little else); use a skylight
filter for a slight warming effect (and very little else). BTW,
different brands of skylight filters have different strengths and
colors - you may want to shop around for the color you like (or
for a range of colors) if you use skylight filters at all.
