I tried both the 28-70 f2.8 Tokina,
and 28-80 Tokina. Both were good
by f5.6, but soft wider. With the
28-80 at 28mm and f2.8 the corners
were soft, but the rest of the
frame was OK; at 50mm and f2.8, it
was quite soft; at 80mm and f2.8 it
was very soft - so what's the point
of owning fast zooms that aren't
very good wider than f5.6, especially
when many slower zooms are also good
by f5.6...? I have not tried the
Sigma...
