-The Nikkor TC14A is 1.4X for short lenses that do not have rear
elements recessed enough to accept the long-lens TC14's.
-The TC14 is for long lenses that have rear elements recessed
enough to accept converters with a projecting front element.
-The TC14B is identical, but with the AIS feature added.
-The TC14C came with the 300mm f2 Nikkor.
-The TC14E is a long-lens AF converter which fits only S and I
lenses.
-The TC16 provides limited-range AF for lenses f2.8 or faster
when used with the F3AF.
-The TC16A does the same for newer AF bodies.
-The TC1 is the short-lens 2X converter that is non-AI.
-The TC200 is the same, but AI.
-The TC201 is the same, but AIS.
-The TC2 is the long-lens 2X converter that is non-AI.
-The TC300 is the long-lens converter that is AI.
-The TC301 is the long-lens converter that is AIS.
-The TC20E is the AF long-lens converter which fits only S and I
lenses. I think that is all of them...;-) BTW, you can find more on
them on my web page, under "I babble"...
Hope This helps
