Hi, again...

Here is a site I just ran across

with pictures of the camcorders, and test charts.
I usually don't like these for evaluation, but they
do tell you some things
- color bias (under the shooting conditions, unknown...)
- how much sharpening is used (look for the width of
the white edging on the big corner circles)
- relative detail (look at the converging lines)
- "crispness" (look at the words and numbers to see
how readable they are)
- shadow and highlight rendering (not easy, but compare
the grey scales, adjusting for overall brightness...)
- "stairstepping" and moire effects (look at the converging
lines in the outer circles)
You can right-click these, and do a "save as", so you can
assemble them in a photo-editor to compare them directly...
