I chose a wega (hah! take that, Sony, for giving us this
silly, confusing name! ;-) 20" with "S" input, since it
is one of the few 20"s with this still available - BUT,
I looked at several floor demo models before finding
a suitable one, and took that ***particular*** sample,
not a new, boxed sample. These vary in distortion and
convergence characteristics (some look quite bad...),
so, as with most TVs, it is best to select the particular
sample you will buy. When you get it home, the first
thing to do in the set-up procedure is turn off the
proprietary sharpening - it makes things look like
VHS copies of VHS tapes (kinda "gummy" looking...;-).
Then it can be a good (though not great) TV for
monitoring (my old 27" downstairs is still sharper...).
