The Vivitars will seem huge on the small FG - Vivitar, Sunpak, Nikon, etc.
make small, inexpensive (especially used) TTL flashes that should work well
(check non-Nikkor flashes to make sure the shoe pins match, and then that
the TTL function appears to work [if no film is in the camera, use a wide
aperture and close subject distance, since the TTL flash cell is reading off
the black pressure plate, and not the lighter film]).
