Uh, "no", and, "yes".... The above would work in manual mode (though is
a pain to do with each photo - easier to just leave the compensation at
"-1" (or anything else you want) to establish the fill ratio, use the
camera in manual-exposure mode (setting the ASA speed normally), metering
(not exceeding the shutter sync. speed), and opening the aperture the
same number of stop(s) (or parts) that you have set the compensation
before taking the picture. The above is why Nikon made the N6000/6006,
since you can set the flash TTL fill ratio independently on the camera,
and just shoot! ;-)
