Hmmmm, I am not sure that the last part is correct... With the SB-24,5,
6, and 7(?) flashes, TTL fill ratios can be selected on the flash (and they will work with MF or AF lenses), and they are more predictable
(and potentially more subtle) than the auto fill flash mode, which
is probably best defeated (it provides 0 to -2/3 stop TTL flash compensation, which leaves the "fill" flash a bit heavy for my taste).
