Hmmm...., aside from not being able to find anything in the above that
I wrote...., I will disagree with what you said. If the desire is for
a sharp 35mm image, f22 is iffy, let alone f32, f45, etc. The only
cures for insufficient DOF (while maintaining sharpness) are moving
away from the subject without changing the lens focal-length, and
tilting the lens (when effective). Since the original poster was asking
about architectural model photography and has an EOS camera, the
logical lens to use is the 45mm Canon TS (which does allow tilt).
