Both are (critically...) reviewed at:
www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/camcorder-comparison.htm
There is quite a bit on the TRV-900 (and some on
the VX-2000) at: www.bealecorner.com
Sony authorized dealers are listed at:
http://www.sel.sony.com/cgi-bin/SEL/consumer/ss5/cgi/aid_list.pl
With the recent price reduction, $1600-$1650 is "normal"
(and a bargain...;-). The VX-2000 does have some notable
advantages (a bit sharper image with slightly lower contrast
[and better image "brilliance"], slightly better color,
better low-light ability, better sound with the built-in
mic [though it records at a lower average level], better VF,
better AF), but the TRV-900 has a better stabilizer at the
zoom tele end and a better fold-out screen, and it is
smaller, lighter, and cheaper. I like both...;-)
