The answer to your last question is, for me, "I dunno..."
I like its size/weight/picture-sharpness/color, but I do
not like its zoom control, eyepiece VF, and particularly
its extremely "busy" look with motion due to its many
picture artifacts. This last makes its picture unpleasant
to me, and if I must go small/light, the less sharp but
smoother, "quieter-looking" picture of the PC9 is often
preferable... BTW, various video picture characteristics

For the price of the TRV50/PC120, at least in the US,
the 3-CCD TRV900 offers better performance...
