might help... I have not tried the TRV27, but I would
not hesitate to choose the TRV30 over it at the same
price - the TRV30 (and variants) represents a sort
of "pinnacle of achievement" in terms of making a small
one-chipper with "big camera" image quality (if you avoid
shooting conditions that bring out its worst: contrasty
lighting and small-scale contrasty textures/patterns).
I prefer shooting with it in portrait mode, with DWB
selected for daylight. Minor feature differences are
far less important to me than the basics of picture
and sound quality. Neither camera is a good choice
for low-light shooting... BTW, no video camera I have
yet seen produces good stills at resolutions above
640x480, too small for printing... You can find some
3-D stills mostly shot with the PC100 1.2 megapixel
camera and the 1.5 megapixel TRV30 at:
