Hooey. The picture and sound are both very good on
the TRV11/17/18-PC5/9 (all have similar imaging).

where Sony imaging types are compared. Basically, the
choice is between the pleasant-but-not-tops-in-resolution
TRV18 level, and "fancier" megapixel one-CCD models with
more irritating artifacts showing in the picture with
motion. For general use, I prefer the picture of the
TRV18 level of Sony, short using a 3-CCD model...
Adding a polarizer for outdoors work improves the color,
and I like the results.
