I would expect the TRV17 picture to be a tad less sharp,
but with a somewhat lower level of artifacting evident;
I would also expect the sound to be a bit better with
the TRV30 using the built-in mic. The above is speculation,
based on experience with the earlier versions of these.
The TRV17 is similar to the TRV11, PC5, and PC9, with a
nice, pleasant, warm image and acceptable sound; the
PC100/PC110/TRV20, and the different TRV30 are top-end
one-chip models and kinda push the envelope for
one-chippers, giving a very sharp-looking picture but
at some cost in artifacting and ultimate low-light
reach... The sound is good in these.
